Ludus Mortis

This game was made as part of a team called Momento Mori as a 3rd year project at Falmouth University.

Ludus Mortis is an interactive narrative title that takes place inside of a gambling club that is the in-between of life and death. Tenants inside of the club gamble with years of their lives with “Life Chips”.

The player wakes up in the club without knowledge of where they are and need to gamble their way through more challenging tables of blackjack to make it back to the living realm but the only way they can win is by cheating. The further it goes on, the more the player realizes this isn’t a regular club.

This game touches on sensitive topics such as gambling, addiction and death.
